About
Megan Perry is an accomplished writer, photographer, and insider on the Los Angeles and Seattle music studio scenes. Megan's book How to Be a Record Producer in the Digital Era (Billboard Books) recently hit the shelves. It's an authoritative, up-to-the-minute guide for aspiring music pros, giving insight into how to succeed as a record producer in today’s ever-changing music business. Megan is also the author of Wired: Musicians' Home Studios — Tools and Techniques of the Musical Mavericks (Backbeat Books, 2004), which provides a first hand tour through the recording studios of artists including Korn, 311, Snoop Dogg, No Doubt and many others. Megan's writing and photography have been published in leading music publications including Rolling Stone, Alternative Press, Guitar Player, Revolver, Bass Player, EQ and Pollstar, and she is a regular photographer for the Rhapsody digital music service. Her photography has also appeared in advertisements for Rolling Stone and the city of Las Vegas. Her work at Hollywood's NRG Recording Studios and Moir/Marie producer management has given her front–row access to the recording of many of the greatest albums in recent memory, as well as some of today's most influential record producers and artists.
